FinOps bootcamp : Deep Dive into Security Management API in Dynamics 365 FinOps at Power Community FinOps Summit

Good news to end the weekend and start the new year by new activity, Excited to share with you my next technical session at Power Community D365 Finance and Operations summit Jan 29th – 31st, during this session we will deep dive technically to understand the security management API used in Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations. The Security Management API used in the standard as main component that help to manage, manipulate the security model, and generate security artifacts (Roles, duties, privileges) in Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations, In previous versions of Dynamics AX, the creation of AOT objects could be done through X++ as adding tables and table fields or others. In this session we will see more in details how we can add security objects by using Metadata and the Security Management API to generate security artifacts by code. We will see how we can retrieve the global security model used in Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations, which is considered as global repository and apply changes into it, and understand how to create security Privilege, and associate it to a Duty and then to a security Role, and finally how to publish those changes and synchonize the global security repository in Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations.
